Florestone Company Information


Florestone was founded in 1947 in Oakland, California by Ray & Ann Flores. Ray and Ann had a simple approach to doing business: "Stand behind your product and take care of the customer". This attitude proved to be the formula for success in the early years and that attitude still proves to be the formula for success today.

Shower Receptors:

You have a wide choice of models, sizes and styles. Many models are available in recess, corner and neo-angle styles. You can choose among molded, fiberglass or terrazzo materials and a number of color options.

Special Needs - ADA Compliant:

Florestone is a recognized leader in the manufacture of showers, shower/baths and shower receptors that meet various state and federal requirements. Florestone special needs units are known for their ease of installation, convenience in use and durability. Florestone Special Needs unit standard color is while, but there are a number of color options available.

Fiberglass Custom Baths:

Florestone custom baths meet or exceed the requirements of the Uniform Plumbing Code (Listed No. 1595), FHA, HUD Specifications, and ANSI Standard Z-124.1. They comply with the National Fire Protection Association Code tested with the ASTM-84 test method. Florestone factory-installed hydromassage systems are listed under UL (Underwriters Laboratories) No. 6437.

From the 60" x 37" Diana to the 60" x 40" Pegasus, you get a wide choice of models, sizes and styles. Many models are available in island as well as apron styles. White is the standard color on fiberglass custom baths. As an option, custom baths are available in most major manufacturers colors.
Florestone fiberglass custom baths are available with full therapy jet action hydromassage systems. Fittings are available in matching PVC colors, chrome or polished brass finishes.

Utility Sinks:

Florestone offers a wide choice of models, sizes, and styles. Single and double sink models, wall mounted, leg mounted or single sink models in self-rimming. There is also a model with a built-in cabinet available. White is the standard color for Utility Sinks.

Mop Sinks:

Florestone offers a wide choice of models, sizes, and styles. Many models are available in recess, corner, and neo-angle styles, with a choice of flanges and caps. You can choose between the durability of heavy-weight terrazzo and practically of light-weight pressure molded construction. Molded under pressures up to 100,000 pounds per square foot, Florestone molded mop receptors are designed not to crack or leak under normal use. Terrazzo receptors are also one-piece design with galvanized steel flanges cast integral for durability. Florestone molded mop receptors come with as integral drain molded into the receptor, eliminating the need for a separate drain. The Wedge-Lok Seal connects easily to a 2" or 3" drain. Terrazzo mop receptors are heavy and made to last. Receptors are manufactured of tan and white marble chips case in white Portland cement reinforced with 16 gauge wire to compressive strengths over 3,000 psi., then ground, polished and sealed.
